UNIVERSAL MULTIPURPOSE ENTREPRISE UNVEILS MBUYA MODERN HOUSING UNIT

In abid to address demand sustainable and affordability modern living spaces,Universal Multipurpose Enterprises has launched 

Phase 2 of its Crane Heights housing project for urban dwellers in Mbuya Kampala Suburb.

According company records the firm has completed 2,000 units to date, with another 800 units scheduled for completion by 2027.

The project features a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments. The larger units utilize a duplex-style design intended to provide a villa-like atmosphere within an apartment complex.

Annet Babigamba, the project lead, highlighted the strategic importance of the Mbuya location. She cited its proximity to the central business district, hospitals and schools as a primary driver for investment value.

Babigamba told partners that the development offers high potential for rental income and long-term appreciation. She said the neighborhood provides essential security and status, noting the close proximity of a local police station.

Lazarus Mugabi, President of the Association of Real Estate Agents Uganda, commended the developer for its professional standards and contribution to organized urban growth.

"Universal Multipurpose Enterprises has demonstrated what it means to lead in the real estate sector with professionalism and integrity since joining the association in 2015," Mugabi said. 

He added that the project represents an opportunity for families to own quality homes and for the city to grow in a structured way.

Project engineer Jonathan Muganga said the engineering section is committed to ensuring value for money through strict adherence to design and construction standards.

Muganga said the firm has built project management systems to guarantee timely delivery without compromising the structural integrity of the buildings. He noted that the team would continue to adopt new construction technologies to keep housing units as affordable as possible.

Universal Multipurpose Enterprises Limited is a prominent Ugandan real estate developer based in Kampala (Ntinda/Naguru) focusing on affordable, low-cost housing and condominium apartments. They aim to build over 40,000 units, with projects like Kajjansi featuring, with prices starting from roughly UGX 80-88M+. 

The firm targets middle-income earners with apartment projects featuring amenities like gymnasiums, play areas, and health clubs.

They also.collaborate with financial institutions like Centenary Bank and Stanbic Bank for mortgage financing. They have partnered with Edifice Properties for luxury developments.
