Thousands of Nrm mobilisers and well wishers have confirmed attendance to witness President Yoweri Museveni Victory celebration in Kampala. 

The State House Local Content Unit, led by Hajjat Aminah Mukalazi, is hosting a "Yoga Yoga Jajja" victory celebration rally for President Yoweri Museveni on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Kololo Independence Grounds. 

The event, starting at 8 a.m honors his win in the 2026 general elections with entertainment, food, and fireworks according to organisers during media interface on Tuesday morning. 

Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni was re-elected to a seventh term, electoral commission announced in January after elections.

Museveni, 81, won with 71.65 percent of the vote, according the Independent Electoral Commission. 

He defeated his main challenger, 45-year-old Bobi Wine, who received 24.72 percent of the vote, according to the official release results.

The State House Local Content Unit (SHLCU) in Uganda, located in Naguru, Kampala, champions the use of local goods, services, and labor to drive economic growth, particularly in mining, oil and gas, and manufacturing. 

Led by initiatives under President Museveni, it ensures compliance with local content policies and promotes industrialization. 

Key Aspects of the State House Local Content Unit includes promoting the utilization of locally generated resources, skills, and technology to drive industrial growth.

The unit also engages with local communities, supports innovation, and monitors compliance with Uganda's local content policies and guidelines.

"The overarching goal is to reduce reliance on foreign imports and services by empowering local enterprises and fostering a sustainable, locally-driven economy.As of late 2025 and early 2026, the unit has been active in engaging local entrepreneurs (e.g., wine makers in Sheema) and promoting the development of new industrial parks,"Hajjat Aminah Mukalazi stated.

The unit acts under the directive of the President to ensure that investments—both foreign and domestic—prioritize the hiring of local workers and the use of locally sourced materials.
